Upgrade to phpBB 3.1.6 completed
The upgrade has been successfully completed.
With this upgrade you will notice several changes including a different default style. The subsilver2 style which was the default is no longer supplied with the board software.
A change to the User Interface that could be a bit confusing is that the User Control Panel (UCP) and Logout function links are now in a drop-down menu accessed by clicking on your username in the page header.
I still need to restore the logo image at the top of the page header. That will occur in a day or so.
If you notice something missing or not working, please notify me via either a post in this topic or a PM.

Re: Upgrade to phpBB 3.1.6 completed
I have added a chat facility to Melody that is independent of the one used by the Fur Den. This is not the integrated chat I had mentioned in a previous post as that proved to be a disaster for the Fur Den board. The link (Melody's chat) is in the page header. The chat will ask you to specify your nickname - we recommend you use your Melody user-ID. Some useful info about chat:
COMMANDS:
NOTES:
/connect – (re)connect to chat. Useful if you get disconnected.
/help – list commands. NOTE: not all commands listed will be usable.
/invite {username} {channel name} – invite a user to join you in a different channel.
/join {channel name} – join a chat channel. Will create a new channel if the specified name does not exist.
/leave – leave the current chat channel. You can also click the red X next to the channel's name at the top of the chat window to leave the channel.
/me {message text} – send yourself a message.
/privmsg {username} - start a private chat channel with a user.
/quit – leave all chat channels. This should be used before closing the chat window.
/redirect {URL} – redirect to a URL.
/send {message text} – send a chat message in the current channel.
/version – print the software version.
ICONS:
These handy clickable switches appear just below the message entry box. The graphic shown is the one you initially see when you connect to chat that is the primary function of the icon position. The graphics for the alternate function of the icon position are not shown.
wchat/themes/default/images/logout.gif[/image] - equivalent to /quit or /connect.
wchat/themes/default/images/color-on.gif[/image] - Hide / show username colors.
wchat/themes/default/images/clock-on.gif[/image] - Hide / show timestamps.
wchat/themes/default/images/sound-on.gif[/image] - Disable / enable sound notifications. If you are working in a different window when a message arrives, the chat will sound a chime if the sound notification option is enabled.
wchat/themes/default/images/smiley-on.gif[/image] - Hide / show smiley box.
wchat/themes/default/images/online-on.gif[/image] - Hide / show online users box.
There are a few minor quirks, but overall this chat facility has worked well in testing.
COMMANDS:
NOTES:
- Any username or channel name that contains a space MUST be enclosed in quotes (“ ”).
- The curly braces ({}) shown are for readability of command parameters and are NOT part of the commands.
- Commands shown via /help but not listed here are either unavailable or unusable.
/connect – (re)connect to chat. Useful if you get disconnected.
/help – list commands. NOTE: not all commands listed will be usable.
/invite {username} {channel name} – invite a user to join you in a different channel.

Another change to the User Interface I should mention is that several links to standard functions have been moved to drop-down menus. Links to "Your posts", "New posts", "Unread posts", "Unanswered posts", "Active topics", and "Search" are in a menu accessed by clicking on "Quick links" at the upper left of the page header.

you have more spammers now

Re: Upgrade to phpBB 3.1.6 completed
As some posts are difficult to recognize as spam on first glance, it would be VERY helpful if you would report spam posts by clicking on the "Report post" icon (!) and letting us know that a post is spam.pandabeer200 wrote:you have more spammers now
By the way, punisherthunder (a Fur Den mod) has volunteered to start moderating these forums and clean up the spam. However we still need an admin and at least one moderator of the fuzzy wool persuasion to staff this board. If those positions are not filled, this website might die.
