Melody is back!

There was a server outage on Thursday morning November 05 that took down both Melody and thefurden.com. This was due to a file system corruption that prevented the server from restarting and required the disk drives to be replaced. I am working on restoring Melody from backups. due to a bit of luck the morning's database backup was transferred to my PC before the crash, so only a few hours of forum posts were lost. Restoring chat will take a few hours as unfortunately it was not backed up, but should not be too difficult to re-establish. The Melody gallery will take longer to fully restore as there is more work involved in re-generating the thumbnail and intermediate images.

Hurrah! Sincere thanks to all those involved - I know (and very much appreciate) it's a lot of heart-ache and hard work goes into getting things back up after a disk failure/replacement.
